The "Get Involved" blog on this page is written by our Patient and Public Involvement Officer. The blog includes the latest opportunities to Get Involved with Rushcliffe CCG and advice about Healthy Living.

Helen Limb is our Patient and Public Involvement Officer, a post she has held since Principia days in 2006. Prior to that she was a Carer Co-ordinator with Rushcliffe Primary Care Trust and subsequently with Nottinghamshire Primary Care Trust.

Helen’s previous employment have all involved working with the public, including being a Travel Manager (with the RAF) and a Registered Dental Nurse.

Helen grew up in Rushcliffe, lived in Rushcliffe until recently and has family living in the borough.

Healthier You: NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme to launch in Nottingham to help prevent type 2 Diabt

Those considered to be at greatest risk of developing Type 2 diabetes across Nottinghamshire are set to benefit from increased help to avoid the disease.

A new partnership between a leading diabetes research centre and Ingeus UK has been formed to deliver the recently announced Healthier You: NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme across the East Midlands Clinical Network, on behalf of NHS England.

National Carers Strategy - Call for Evidence

The Department of Health  think a new strategy for carers is needed that sets out how more can be done to support them. It needs to reflect their lives now, their health and financial concerns, and give them the support they need to live well while caring for a family member or friend.

To help develop the strategy, the Department of Health want to hear from carers, those who have someone who care for them, business, social workers, NHS staff and other professionals that support carers.
