The "Get Involved" blog on this page is written by our Patient and Public Involvement Officer. The blog includes the latest opportunities to Get Involved with Rushcliffe CCG and advice about Healthy Living.

Helen Limb is our Patient and Public Involvement Officer, a post she has held since Principia days in 2006. Prior to that she was a Carer Co-ordinator with Rushcliffe Primary Care Trust and subsequently with Nottinghamshire Primary Care Trust.

Helen’s previous employment have all involved working with the public, including being a Travel Manager (with the RAF) and a Registered Dental Nurse.

Helen grew up in Rushcliffe, lived in Rushcliffe until recently and has family living in the borough.

Nottinghamshire Healthy Child and Public Health Nursing programme

Nottinghamshire County Council are consulting on the commissioning of an integrated ‘Healthy Child and Public Health Nursing Programme’ for all children and young people aged 0-19 year olds. The contracts for current services, which you will know as the Health Visiting service, the School Nursing service (including the National Child Measurement Programme) and the Family Nurse Partnership (which provides targeted support for young parents) will end on 31st March 2017.

Your support to recruit Experts by Experience

From April 2016 Together for Short Lives will be working with Choice Support in the central region of England to recruit Experts by Experience.

Experts by Experience are paid £15 an hour plus travel expenses.

Costa Coffee Friendship Group

Costa Coffee is working in partnership with Nottinghamshire County Council to establish a Coffee Friendship Group which meets once a week to meet new friends and address isolation and loneliness.

The first meeting will be on the Wednesday 29 March 2016 2pm to 4pm at West Bridgford Costa
