The active group is made up of representatives from each of the 12 patient participation groups (PPGs) within the GP practices, usually the chair of the group. The active group is chaired by Kamaljeet Pentreath who is chair of Radcliffe Surgery Forum and they meet monthly at the CCG headquarters.

During 2015 – present they have taken an informative role for the Principia Multi-Specialty Community Provider (MCP) work, bringing the patient perspective into many of the discussions and workstreams. During the first year of being awarded the MCP Vanguard the active group chair, Kamaljeet, joined one of the GPs and management leads for the MCP in a study trip to the Nuka Model of Care in Alaska. The group have commented and supported various public documents, ensuring they are suitable for the public domain.
