Rushcliffe Park Run

Patients and local people are being invited to join the GPs and staff from Castle Healthcare Practice this Saturday at the Park Run at Rushcliffe Country Park.

The Practice has signed up to a national initiative by the Royal College of GPs and the parkrun organisation to promote active lifestyles to patients and practice staff.

The initiative aims to reduce the need for lifelong medication by improving the health and wellbeing of patients, carers and healthcare staff through physical exercise.

Castle GP, Dr Jonathan Ashton,  says: “Park Run is a fun and sociable event suitable for runners of all abilities. We’d love to see some of our patients down there. You can take it as fast or as slow as you want. Just getting out into the fresh air in our beautiful Rushcliffe Country Park can do wonders for boosting your physical and mental health.”

GPs and other members of staff will be at the Rushcliffe Country Park Run from 9am.

Park run is a free enjoyable event for all abilities (no need to run), which is held every Saturday at 9am at Rushcliffe Country Park. To register please sign up at http://www.parkrun.com/
